This is my original painting titled Electric Fear, this piece is a very personal and vulnerable painting that represents my personal experience with anxiety and panic attacks. I painted each scene as a way to process the emotions I have when anxious and how they all play a part in this experience. The wave scene reflects the overwhelming waves of emotion that crash over me during panic attacks, I feel as if I am drowning and unable to escape. The cemetery is a representation of my fear of losing my family, of death and dying. The lone wolf scene represents my fear of being left behind, not having a main friend group, of being forgotten or left alone. And the volcano is symbolic of my intense emotions that feel so much stronger and more than I can handle. Lightning is used to represent the physical symptoms of anxiety that feel similar to electrocution to me.
Painted with Acrylics on a 12x24 inch canvas.
